Choose the ASA subjects and optional messages relevant to your work. You can change these choices or unsubscribe from optional email at any time. Account, security, transaction, governance, or legally required messages may still be sent when they are necessary to provide a requested service or administer membership.
Available communication types
ASA should offer only lists it can maintain and accurately describe, such as:
Policy and regulatory updates
Public or member updates about federal, state, regulatory, and international developments within ASA’s scope.
Science and quality resources
New scientific, quality, standards, guideline, or technical records.
Events and education
Announcements for ASA Academy, webinars, briefings, workshops, and other events.
Association news
Public news releases and material organizational updates.
Program communications
Optional public information about specific ASA programs. Applicant case messages and status notices are managed through the relevant secure account.
Member communications
Messages available to eligible member representatives according to role, committee, and account settings.
Manage preferences
The preference form should allow a person to:
- enter or verify an email address;
- see available lists and current choices;
- select or deselect individual optional lists;
- unsubscribe from all optional marketing or informational email;
- save the change;
- receive a confirmation without exposing private subscription data.
Identity verification may be required before showing existing preferences.
Unsubscribe
Every optional commercial or informational email should provide a functioning unsubscribe route. ASA processes the request within the period required by applicable law and suppresses future messages from the affected list. Unsubscribing does not remove records ASA must retain for another lawful purpose.
Member and event messages
Committee notices, annual reaffirmation, dues, event registration, security, and service messages may be necessary to administer a role or transaction. Where possible, users should be able to adjust frequency and channel without blocking critical notices.
Data use
ASA uses contact and preference data to deliver chosen communications, document consent, manage suppression, and understand aggregate performance. The Privacy Policy explains categories, purposes, rights, retention, and service providers.
Manage communication preferences
Identify the communications you want to receive or stop. Required account and service messages may still be sent when necessary.
