American Supplement Association

Programs and Events

ASA programs turn defined policy, scientific, quality, and professional needs into education, convening, and recognition. Every program has an owner, scope, participation rules, conflict controls, records, and a way to evaluate whether it serves the association’s mission.

Member roundtables

Roundtables give eligible members a structured setting for candid exchange on shared operational questions. They use an agenda, facilitator, competition safeguards, conflict rules, and clear confidentiality terms. A roundtable discussion does not automatically become an ASA position.

NutraFormula Awards

NutraFormula Awards reviews supplement formulation records against published criteria for formulation rationale, evidence alignment, dosage logic, safety, quality planning, labeling clarity, and responsible communication.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and there is no application fee. Recognition is based on meeting the criteria, not winning a fixed annual competition. Membership, sponsorship, advertising, event participation, and paid promotion do not determine the result.

Program integrity

Across programs, ASA:

  • defines participant and applicant eligibility;
  • records faculty, reviewers, qualifications, and roles;
  • discloses and manages relevant interests;
  • separates sponsors from content and decisions;
  • protects restricted and personal information;
  • states fees and terms before commitment;
  • provides correction, complaint, and status routes;
  • does not imply accreditation or government approval.

Sponsorship and support

Sponsorship may support an event or education program when the relationship is documented and disclosed. Sponsors do not select ASA policy, scientific conclusions, award recipients, or enforcement outcomes. Recognition labels state the actual relationship, such as “Program sponsor” or “Supported by.”
