Acceptance

By using a service covered by these Terms, you agree to the Terms and applicable supplemental terms. If you act for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it for the action taken. If you do not agree, do not use the affected service.

Access to a public page alone does not make a person an ASA member, client, advisor, applicant, recipient, or contractual partner.

ASA’s role

ASA is a member association for the supplement sector. It provides general information, member services, convening, education, policy and technical records, and defined programs. ASA is not a government agency, law firm, healthcare provider, testing laboratory, or product guarantor.

Membership, an event, a directory record, a publication, or a NutraFormula recognition has only the meaning stated in its controlling record.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information, maintain current contact and role data, protect credentials, and notify ASA of suspected unauthorized access. Accounts are personal to the authorized user. Do not share credentials, bypass access controls, or use another person’s identity.

ASA may require authentication, multifactor security, role verification, reacceptance of terms, or account suspension to protect services and records. Organization administrators may control representatives according to membership or application rules.

Permitted use

You may access public content for personal, professional, research, policy, journalistic, or internal business use consistent with law, these Terms, stated licenses, and intellectual-property rights. A specific document may provide additional permission.

Factual citation to ASA should identify the record, title, version or date, and current status. Do not remove material qualifications or present an older record as current.

Prohibited use

Do not:

  • violate law, another person’s rights, or an applicable agreement;
  • access or attempt to access restricted accounts, files, systems, or data without authorization;
  • disrupt, overload, probe, scan, reverse engineer, or introduce malicious code except under an authorized security process;
  • scrape or use automated means in a manner that impairs the service, circumvents controls, harvests personal data, or builds a misleading competing status database;
  • submit false, misleading, infringing, defamatory, malicious, or unauthorized information;
  • upload patient-identifiable information, unnecessary sensitive data, or material you lack the right to provide;
  • impersonate ASA, a member, reviewer, official, or another person;
  • imply ASA or government endorsement beyond the controlling record;
  • use ASA activity to coordinate unlawful competitive conduct;
  • use member, applicant, committee, reviewer, or event information for unauthorized solicitation;
  • alter an ASA record or mark in a way that changes meaning;
  • train, evaluate, or operate an automated system on restricted ASA material without written permission.

ASA content and intellectual property

ASA and its licensors retain rights in site design, text, graphics, marks, databases, taxonomies, publications, and program materials except where a record states otherwise. Copyright does not prevent lawful quotation, commentary, or other permitted use, but access does not grant a right to reproduce an entire controlled publication, create a derivative mark, or sell access.

User submissions

You retain rights you hold in material submitted to ASA. You grant ASA the rights reasonably necessary to receive, store, secure, review, reproduce, route, and use it for the stated service and governing process. Public publication requires the authority, consent, license, or other basis stated for that activity.

You represent that you have the right to submit the material and that it is accurate in all material respects. Confidential treatment depends on the applicable terms and cannot be created by marking unsolicited general correspondence “confidential.”

Feedback

ASA may use general feedback about its services without restriction or compensation, provided it does not disclose protected personal or confidential information contrary to applicable obligations. A specific technical proposal, manuscript, formula, or invention should use the designated process and terms.

Membership services

Membership is subject to the governing documents, category rights, Code, dues, review policy, and decisions of the authorized bodies. Website access does not amend those records. Where these Terms conflict with an adopted membership instrument for a membership matter, the controlling membership instrument governs.

Events and education

Registration is subject to eligibility, capacity, payment, cancellation, conduct, competition, privacy, recording, intellectual-property, and accessibility terms stated for the event. ASA may change faculty, format, schedule, or content for legitimate reasons and will provide notice appropriate to the change.

Attendee access may not be transferred unless the event terms allow it. Recording or distribution by a participant is prohibited unless authorized. A completion certificate is not a professional license, board certification, accreditation, or product/company credential.

Fees and payments

Fees, taxes, billing point, cancellation, refund, and transfer terms are disclosed before purchase. You authorize the displayed charge and provide accurate billing information. ASA may use a payment provider. Disputes should identify the transaction and be raised through the stated process.

NutraFormula applications have no application fee under the adopted program model. An optional separate service does not affect award review and must not be represented as required.

NutraFormula Awards

Applications, evidence, reviews, decisions, registries, recognition, marks, changes, surveillance, and appeals are governed by the program criteria, applicant agreement, privacy terms, and mark license. Submission is not recognition. Recognition applies only to the exact public record and current status.

ASA may correct, review, suspend, expire, accept withdrawal of, or revoke a record under the program process. Mark use must stop when the terms or public status require it.

Directories and registries

Public records support verification as of the stated date. They are not rankings, recommendations, legal-compliance determinations, or guarantees. Do not extract or republish a directory or registry in a way that removes current status, scope, dates, qualifications, or correction links.

Information and professional advice

ASA content is general information for the stated audience. It is not individual legal, regulatory, medical, scientific, quality, financial, or other professional advice. You are responsible for evaluating the information against your facts and obtaining qualified advice.

Service changes and availability

ASA may maintain, change, restrict, suspend, or end a service or feature. Where a change affects a paid, member, applicant, or recognized status, the applicable agreement and fair-process rules govern. ASA does not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Enforcement

ASA may investigate suspected misuse and take proportionate action, including content correction, access restriction, account suspension, mark enforcement, membership or program review, preservation, and referral where appropriate. Interim protection is not a final finding.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, services and content are provided without warranties beyond those expressly stated in a controlling written agreement. ASA does not warrant that information will fit every purpose, that a service will be uninterrupted, or that an external source remains current.

Any limitation of liability, exclusion of damages, indemnity, governing law, venue, arbitration, class-action waiver, and consumer-right provision must appear in the counsel-approved version applicable to the verified ASA entity and service. Nothing in these Terms limits a right or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these Terms

ASA posts effective and updated dates. Material changes receive notice and renewed acceptance where required by law or the service relationship. Prior versions are retained when needed to determine the terms that applied to an earlier action.

Notices and contact

Routine questions use the contact route below. Formal legal notices must use the exact legal entity and address specified in the approved version or applicable agreement. Social messages and general event chat are not formal notice.
