Application steps

1. Create an authorized account

Verify email and organization, use a personal credential, and accept the current application terms.

2. Complete scope screening

Identify track, formula, version, population, purpose, and responsible entity. The screening determines whether the application can proceed; it is not recognition.

3. Upload and map evidence

Use structured fields and the evidence map rather than a single undifferentiated document archive. Cite each claim and criterion to the relevant record.

4. Attest and submit

The authorized signer confirms accuracy, authority, completeness, disclosures, change obligations, and public registry terms. The final action should show exactly what will be submitted.

5. Completeness review

ASA acknowledges receipt and identifies missing or inconsistent information. An application enters substantive review only after acceptance as complete.

6. Review and clarification

Qualified, conflict-screened reviewers assess the current criteria. ASA may issue a consolidated clarification request with a response date.

7. Decision and next action

The applicant receives a written decision. A recognized record is not active until factual registry fields and mark terms are complete.

Timing and status

ASA should publish timing targets only after the operating process has been measured. Applicant status is available through the secure portal. Review time varies with completeness, subject complexity, conflict resolution, clarification, and decision review.

No application fee

ASA does not charge to submit or renew a NutraFormula application under this program model. Optional promotional or event opportunities, if offered separately, do not affect review and must not be bundled as a condition of recognition.

Applicant support

Support can explain scope, fields, evidence format, portal use, and process. It cannot promise an outcome, select evidence for the applicant, design the formula, or provide legal or medical advice.
