The Media Center provides source-linked ASA records and routes inquiries to authorized representatives. Include the outlet, subject, deadline, requested format, and whether the conversation is on the record, on background, or subject to another proposed ground rule.
Current statements and news
News releases and public statements identify the issuing authority, publication date, spokesperson where applicable, related position or source, and correction status. A quoted individual’s view is not an ASA position unless the record says so.
Policy and regulatory record
Use Positions & Comments for adopted ASA views and filings. Use Regulatory Intelligence for explanatory materials. Check the date and status before describing an older record as current.
ASA background
The About and Governance pages explain ASA’s mission, workstreams, authority, committee system, membership model, conflicts, and transparency controls.
Leadership and spokespersons
Use only current approved biographies, roles, names, photographs, and attribution. A directory or event profile is not an authorization to speak on every issue.
Media assets
Approved assets may include:
- ASA name and descriptor;
- current logo files and clear-space guidance;
- approved leadership photographs and biographies;
- an organizational backgrounder;
- current policy priorities;
- program marks shown only to explain verification and use.
Downloading an asset does not grant a right to imply endorsement or alter an ASA mark.
Deadlines and response
ASA will assess whether it has an adopted position, available record, and authorized spokesperson. Acknowledgment does not guarantee an interview or comment by the deadline. For technical issues, ASA may provide a written record or arrange a subject-matter response.
Corrections
Send a correction request with the ASA URL or record, disputed text, supporting source, and deadline. Material corrections follow ASA’s record-integrity process.
