Faculty and content standards

Faculty are selected for subject knowledge and ability to teach the stated material. Membership, sponsorship, or product affiliation does not guarantee a faculty role. Presentations distinguish education from promotion, cite material sources, and disclose relevant interests.

ASA reviews course content for scope and integrity but does not imply that every statement by a guest speaker is an ASA position.

Continuing education

ASA should name a credit type, accrediting or approving body, number of credits, eligibility, and completion requirement only after formal approval. Attendance alone is not described as accredited continuing education without that record.

Certificates

A completion certificate confirms only the named person’s completion of the stated program and date. It is not professional licensure, board certification, accreditation, or a product/company credential.

Program records

Eligible participants may receive source lists, slides, recordings, or tools under the stated access and reuse terms. ASA corrects material errors and updates the program record when the status changes.
