ASA’s directors and officers are responsible for governance, fiduciary oversight, strategy, and the integrity of the association’s work. Leadership records identify each person’s ASA role, current organization, relevant experience, and term information based on verified corporate records.
Board of Directors
The Board sets ASA’s direction, adopts material policies, oversees finances and risk, and holds executive leadership accountable for implementation. Directors act in the interests of the association and carry out conflict and confidentiality responsibilities.
Each published director profile includes:
- full name and ASA role;
- current professional title and organization;
- concise experience relevant to Board service;
- term or service information approved for release;
- committee leadership, where applicable;
- material disclosure statement required by ASA policy;
- date the profile was verified.
Officers
ASA identifies its current officers and the responsibilities assigned under the governing documents. An officer title does not by itself authorize every external statement; spokesperson authority depends on the matter and approved delegation.
Leadership selection and accountability
Director and officer selection follows ASA’s governing documents. Records of appointment, election, terms, recusals, and changes are maintained by the Corporate Secretary. Directors complete conflict disclosures and participate in periodic governance review.
Speaking for ASA
Only authorized representatives may state an ASA position. A leader’s personal or company view is not an ASA position unless ASA has adopted it through the applicable process. Media and public-policy requests are routed to the designated contact.
